The String Cheese Incident confirmed a 3-night New Year’s run yesterday, set to take place at Broomfield, CO’s 1STBANK Center on December 28th, 29th, and 31st. Dubbed the “Hometown Throwdown“, this marks the second NYE Celebration for the band since going on hiatus in 2007. So far the band has announced Bootsy Collins and the Funk Unity as openers on the 28th, with special guests to be announced for the 29th.
With the 30th supposedly being an “off” day for the band, rumors are swirling around of some special event with both Umphrey’s McGee and Yonder Mountain String Band, as both of those bands have both announced NYE runs in Colorado with the 30th being an “off” day as well. Guess we will find our sooner or later.
