GoldFish, the trailblazing South African live electronic music duo comprised of Dominic Peters and David Poole, have announced a special Disco Fish late-night dance party at New Orleans, LA’s Toulouse Theatre on Thursday, April 23rd (technically early-a.m. 4/24) as the first day of Jazz Fest moves into the first night of Fest by Nite 2026 [get tickets].

GoldFish began two decades ago as the project of two mild-mannered students in South Africa who would blow the roof off of house parties by night. Their live show, which combines tireless house music beats with organic instrumentation, quickly caught the attention of the country’s swelling house and electronic music fan base.

As GoldFish earned worldwide notoriety, the duo’s sound continued to expand, tapping obscure sources for cheeky samples and incorporating saxophone melodies, African rhythms, and more to craft a unique, immersive, and worldly house music experience. Dom and David lean even further into African sounds on their latest batch of singles, including the lively “Body Language” and “Born A Miracle”, a collaboration with South African singer Zakes Bantwini.

With their special Disco Fish shows, Peters and Poole focus their attention on funk-driven nu-disco and re-workings of classic disco hits—the perfect soundtrack for a late-night get-down in the French Quarter.
