DJ Logic & Friends assembled in the prolific live turntablist’s native New York to kick off a weekend of unique collaborations at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday.
Together with a lineup of heavy hitters from a wide range of musical backgrounds including bassist Felix Pastorius (son of the late Jaco Pastorius), percussionist Cyro Baptista (Trey Anastasio Band), keyboardist Aron Magner (Disco Biscuits), and drummer Mike Greenfield (Lotus), DJ Logic treated Brooklyn to a night of collaborative improvisation fusing funk, jazz, hip-hop, and more. The night also featured a number of special guests who stopped by to join the musical party, including Maurice “Mobetta” Brown (Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals).
The band continued on from Brooklyn, completing the three-show Northeast run with subsequent stops at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, CT and Triumph Brewery in Red Bank, NJ, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
